Roll Forming Components
Fundamentally roll forming is defined as a continuous, high-volume, fabricating process in which a desired shape is formed from a flat strip of metal by passing it through a series of matching pairs of contoured rolls. Only bending occurs in the roll process and does not change the thickness of the metal except for a slight thinning at a bend radius. Roller forming is a continuous process that is extremely economical and efficient particularly when the job requires shaping sections into extended lengths at high volume.
Successful Roll Forming Systems begin with high quality tooling. This tooling’s base metal varies depending on the type of material being formed. For many applications an aluminum bronze alloy is used to manufacture critical tooling components. Here at National Bronze Manufacturing, we have been supplying many of the leading roll form tooling manufactures with high quality aluminum bronze products for a number of years.
Here at National Bronze Manufacturing quality is the key to our success. Our quality mission is to provide only materials that meets our customers requirements. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Our Quality Process begins with a full contract review of each order which involves our engineering and quality departments. Each component is reviewed for material, process, inspection, marking and shipping requirements prior to release to the machine shop. Once the contract review is complete; process and quality plans are developed to ensure compliance to customer's specification throughout the manufacturing process. During the manufacturing process key characteristics are inspected and records are retained per industry and customer requirements. Upon completion of the manufacturing process a final inspection is preformed and all key characteristics are recorded and retained per industry and customer requirements.
Aluminum Bronze Alloys are used in areas where the absence of marking is critical and more tooling wear is required. It is commonly used in stainless steel applications, as well as for weld rolls, due to its non-magnetic properties. It is available in different grades and levels of hardness.
We offer aluminum bronze alloys in continuous cast bar stock. The advantage of the continuous casting method results in a superior bar stock with a fine grain structure free from porosity and impurities. When you purchase aluminum bronze products from National Bronze Mfg. you get the peace of mind in knowing that we are one of the leading bronze suppliers in the USA. As well as the expertise that comes with over 100 years of experience.
The machining facility at National Bronze Manufacturing employs a highly skilled workforce and has advanced equipment to produce a multitude of components and complex parts. We have been machining bronze parts has been in operation since the early 1900's. We have an approved ISO9001/AS9100C Quality Management System along with full CNC machining, turning, milling, and grinding capabilities. Our team of highly skilled Sales Engineers, CNC Programmers and Machinists are experienced, innovative and has a passion for perfection.
Our CNC Milling, Turning and Grinding Machines are capable of multi-axis machining with spindle speeds up to 25,000 RPM. Utilizing these machining centers our team or Engineers, CNC Programmers and Machinists are able to produce components to stringent specifications. We perform first piece, in-process, incoming and final inspections throughout the entire production cycle to ensure the highest quality of every component.
We pride ourselves on producing quality components to exacting standards which is evident in our ISO9100:2008 and AS9100C certifications.
National Bronze Manufacturing prides itself on meeting the needs of each customer; using inventory managements systems such as KANBAN, PAC, Kitting and JIT we're able to respond quickly to customer requests. We have a diverse and flexible inventory system which is capable of reacting to the demands of our customers. Utilizing our machine shop ERP software we're able to set minimum, maximum and reorder levels for all components and assemblies. If inventory levels reach minimum an automated alert is issued; informing Engineering to release a new production lot to the machine shop for manufacturing. Tracking inventory levels enables us to release economic lot sizes to the machine shop for manufacturing thus reducing our operational expenses and any potential delivery delays to our customers.
National Bronze Manufacturing has the ability to adapt our system to the delivery needs of our customers. Our onsite warehouse enables us to hold product for release according to the customer's needs.
